I am on my second from last shift at Red Bee today, it doesn’t feels as weird as I thought it was going to be, I don’t think the penny has dropped that I’m not returning back to work for another year. I wonder when this will sink in? Maybe it will tomorrow on my last day.
I have also left the infamous Embassy for good, over the past 6 years ‘The Embassy’ has been my home in London. Set in Harlesden Kensal Green (Cheap Notting Hill, Its only 15 minutes away from Portobello Road isn’t it Stu?). Over the years it had a reputation at the BBC for being a house of carnage, word spread and we really did have people wanting to come round and hang out all the time. This was mainly down to Shortman and I having some quite legendary nights there. I’m sure the Embassy will be talked about for years. In fact I want it to have one of those blue placks you see on the front of houses all over London that had famous people living there.
When I come back in a year i’d love to move back to the area but i’m not sure it will be the same, Kensal Green is a great place to live and has got so much better in the last couple of years (Minus the stabbing and shootings)….. The pub/bar scene is great and that’s all that really matters isn’t it? :-)
The Masons Arms (One of the Best Pubs in North London)
The Lodge (Boast the only Balearic garden in NW10)
Paradise Bar (Sunday Roasts rock there)
William IV (Great Beer Garden)
We had a lot of people staying in the Embassy over the years and I can safely say i have made some great friends over the years.
Here are some of the Embassy Players from over the years who made this flat rock North London.

A massive thanks to all the people who came round over the years and made the Embassy what is was……. A crack den without the crack.
In a years time……. i’m thinking……. CAMDEN! Think of the fun we could have there?
THE EMBASSY 2001 – 2007
Prepartion for the trip, well i’m pretty much sorted now, I’ve just got to pick up the last Leica lens from Nicholos Camera. I promise after this I won’t buy anymore camera stuff for the trip. Not that i will be able to take anymore stuff with me, my bags are starting to get a bit heavy now.
