iToy Camera

We all know that one of the major problems with the iPhone is the camera. The laggy 2 mega pixels camera is hardly one of today’s technological advancements in the standard of cellphones.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t take an interesting photo with it. Like an analogue toy camera such as a Holga or Lomo which proud themselves as being ‘crappy’ can take wonderful and unusual photos in the right hands, this in turn opens up a whole new world and dimension of possibilities when it comes to photography. People these days get caught up in the world of endless mega pixels and razor sharp images, when lets face it some of the worlds greatest photos are blurry and out of focus (See Robert Capa’s – American landing on Omaha Beach, D-Day).

One of the great thing about the iPhone is the App Store. And one of the best Apps around is CameraBag. This adds retro filters that emulate many different cameras and films through the ages. This takes the iPhones camera to another level of creativity and makes the iPhone camera now a joy to use.

So for the past month I’ve been walking around London snapping away and applying the CameraBags filters. Here are some of the results.
