Hot Hot Hot...

Flying back down from Lhasa you forget how humid China is. I had to take two flights to get to Hong Kong as there was no direct flights from Lhasa to Hong Kong. Not really a problem but it did mean I had to shell out a extra £70 to get a flight to Gaungdong which is on the boarder of Hong Kong, I was hoping to arrive in style to Hong Kong by catching the ferry but I missed the last ferry by a couple of hours. DOH. It was the same news with the direct train to HK. My only option was to fly so again I was boarding another plane straight to HK. It was only 30mins in the air...

FREE TIBET...

Well after the 3 days of climbing Emei Shan, Virginia and I thought we would celebrate (It’s not often you climb a 3000 meter mountain and live to tell the tale) by going out for a Sichuan Hot Pot. Now the hot pot must be one of the craziest kind of dinners I have ever had, A massive bowl that sits in the middle of the table and is heated by Bunsen burner that is under the table……. that’s not why its called a Hot Pot. 6 Month Review...

6 Months have gone past me so fast, so days I think I’ve done a hell of a lot and other days I think I haven’t seen enough. 6 months left with no really itinerary. The on thing I know is by September the first I shall be returning back to South Africa to meet up with the lovely Ellie. The plan is to see the parts of South Africa I didn’t see before as well as heading to Namibia and maybe up to Kenya and Tanzania. I didn’t really fancy going to OZ or NZ on this trip. I can go there for a holiday and to be honest those places don’t get my juices...
