500 Days of Winter...

S.A.D: Seasonal Affective Disorder. I think I had it, I’m not sure, but I think I had it. Why? Because when those grizzly clouds rolled in from the Atlantic and firmly planted themselves on my city for the duration of what felt like 100 dark years, drowning out the Sun in a sea of monotone of Communist grey. I found myself slipping in to a depressed state of work, sleep, work sleep and really achieving very little in the way of a social or creative life.  The constant drizzle, freezing temperatures and depressively short days made it impossible to explore this...

Holga Trippin’...

Well, it’s amazing what you can find sorting out your cupboards. Lurking way in the back I found this experimental film which I shot on a day trip to Brighton in 2008. The film was taken in my Holga on 35mm film (Holga is 120 Film size), hence why the film is exposed over the sprockets. Then I had it cross processed by the lab when they developed it. Most of the film was way over exposed but I managed to rescue a couple of images. They are so messed up, blurry and grainy it make them feel dream like or should I say, nightmarish.
